Computed Tomography (CT) provides cross-sectional images utilizing x-rays and computers. The CT images provide detailed “slices” of the body and are frequently used to evaluate the brain, neck, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis and sinuses. The images can be reformatted into 3D datasets.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound utilizes high-frequency sound waves to obtain images. The sound waves “echoes” are recorded and displayed as an image. Ultrasound is often used to diagnose abnormalities of various organs and blood vessels. Obstetric ultrasound is often used to evaluate the condition and term of a pregnancy. On occasions and in the late term of pregnancy, 3D/4D Ultrasound may be utilized to obtain 3D images of the baby before it is born.
DIGITAL MAMMOGRAPHY
Digital Mammography utilizes digital x-ray images to evaluate the breasts and is considered the most effective tool for early breast tumor detection. Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) is often used in conjunction to search for abnormal areas that may indicate the presence of cancer.
